Presentation by Kyle Barker on 10/29 in Alton NH.

The Eastern Lakes Region Housing Coalition will be holding a community forum on Tuesday, October 29th at the Gilman Museum in Alton at 6:30 p.m. This presentation is free and open to the public. Eastern Lakes Region Housing Coalition is a non profit who advocates for affordable housing for the middle class. Since the recent downfall in the economy, wages have continued stagnant where housing has continued to increase. Kyle Barker, architect, from Barker Architects will be our guest speaker. Compact design is a concept where homes are constructed together for a variety of reasons, one being cost savings to a town on infrastructure (water, sewer, road maintenance and snow plowing). It also benefits residents since you will be in a community setting, getting to know and see your neighbors. Please plan on attending and learn how this concept may work in many of our small rural towns. If you have any questions about this event, please contact Donna Young at 859-0267 or
